Through Aetna and Paramount Health Care, employees are able to choose a medical insurance plan that best fits their needs. Insurance rates are based upon the type of plan chosen and may be deducted on a pre-tax basis.
The University of Toledo provides its employees with a comprehensive dental program that provides payment for routine preventative services as well as assistance with more extensive dental care. Any dentist chosen by the employee may provide services.
UT employees are enrolled in the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) or the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS), which provides excellent retirement, disability, survivor benefit programs and medical coverage upon retirement for all qualifying employees of the State of Ohio.
Eligible employees may choose the Alternative Retirement Plan (ARP).
